Reiki is a form of healing developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s in Japan. This healing is called an Enlightenment. The energy comes into the practitioner and is channeled into the practioner and out through the palms of your hands and given to the intended receiver. While Reiki is often described as hands-on, it is most often done at a small distance above the body and can also be sent long distance. It is both gentle and powerful.
In this class: You will learn self healing practice. Practice on yourself and classmates. Receive the Reiki level I attunement. At the end of the class you will receive your Reiki I certificate. You’ll be on your way to becoming a Reiki Practitioner.

Reiki 1 & 2: Taught by Kristi Johnston, Reiki Master-Teacher
Looking for a holistic way to manage pain, stress, anxiety, or insomnia in yourself or your family? Reiki is a miraculous gift that allows anyone who is attuned to it to provide healing for themselves and others. It is used in medical facilities world-wide for comfort and pain management and has a number of scientific studies published to back up its effectiveness.
Since it’s introduction in 1920 by Mikao Usui in Japan, 150 forms of Reiki have been developed and are in use today. Holy Fire is the newest form of Reiki, arriving in 2014 through William Lee Rand. Recipients of Holy Fire Reiki have described it to be as powerful as the ocean, yet peaceful at the same time. This is not a system of religious beliefs nor is it connected to religion in any way, Reiki is simply a relaxing treatment where natural healing vibrations are transmitted through the practitioner to the recipient.
The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to relieve stress and pain, induce relaxation, release emotional blockages, accelerate natural healing, balance the body’s energies, and support other medical modalities including traditional therapies. While Reiki is often described as hands-on, it is often done just above the body.
Day 1: Reiki 1: In this class you will be attuned to Reiki and taught how to become a conduit to allow universal life force energy to flow through you to the recipient. This energy then works with the recipient’s energy to assist them in returning to health in their body, mind, and spirit.
